Another essential thing to know about Fluconazole is the side effects associated with it. Some common and troublesome side effects of this medication include sickness, wooziness, an awful taste in your mouth, and diarrhea. You need not discontinue your medicine if these side effects occur because they usually subside after a certain time period. However, discontinue generic Diflucan and seek emergency medical help if you experience serious side effects like undetermined weakness, jaundice (yellowing of the skin), chills, fever, or convulsions (violent uncontrollable contractions of muscles).
While continuing the treatment with generic Diflucan, you should employ barrier means of birth prevention as antibiotics at times reduce the effectualness of oral contraceptive pills. Women who become pregnant during the Fluconazole treatment should inform their physician immediately, so he/she can determine whether the patient should carry on using the medication.
Patients should complete the full duration of the treatment as prescribed by the healthcare provider. Leaving the treatment at the halfway stage won't give any significant benefit.
